1. Kitchen
  • The stove must be far from the door, but the cook must be able to see the door. If not possible, install a mirror.
  • Never place the stove opposite the sink, refrigerator or dishwasher. The clash of elements of fire and water is not a good idea.
  • Store your cupboard and refrigerator with a good supply of food. This implies wealth and abundance.
  • Avoid placing the stove directly in front of the window. Placing the stove on the side of the window is better.

2. Bathroom or toilet
  • Never place a toilet across the kitchen. The element of fire and feng shui water will collide in this situation.
  • Toilets should not be placed near the front door. Place the toilet in a place far from the front door.
  • Avoid positioning the toilet door directly opposite the front door. This can lead to futile opportunities.
  • Place a large mirror behind the bathroom sink. But never use the type that is split in the middle, often seen in the bathroom cabinet.
  • Make sure the drainage equipment in the bathroom and toilet does not leak, especially the faucet.

3. Bedroom
  • The bedroom should not be near or opposite the bathroom or toilet. If this is unavoidable, make sure you close the bathroom door or toilet at any time.
  • Position the bed as far as possible from the door. But make sure you still have a good view of the door from the bed. At the same time, don't place your bed where your feet point to the door when you sleep.
  • Mirrors should not be placed in a place that reflects your image when you sleep. Round and oval mirrors are ideal, but make sure the mirror is bigger than your head.
  • Sleeping directly on the floor is not recommended because it does not allow Chi to flow under you.

4. Stairs
  • Traditionally, the number of profitable steps on the stairs is an odd number. The spiral staircase is also a mistake because it confuses Chi.
  • The worst mistake that can occur is when the stairs lead directly to the front door. This causes a loss of opportunity, and residents tend to always hurry, rarely settling.
  • A good way to slow down the flow of Chi outside the front door is to hang wind chimes on the ceiling above the base of the stairs. The heavy figurine downstairs can also help.

5. Lobby and hallway
  • The hallway must be free from obstructions and must be lit well. It must also be clear to anyone where they will go next at home.
  • A good piece of art can be hung on the wall to the end of the hall. However, never put a mirror there; it will only reflect the incoming Chi back.
  • There should be no hallway in the house that leads directly to the toilet. If it's already there, make sure the door is closed at all times.

Here are a few tips for overcoming and preventing Chi flow problems, giving you a harmonious feng shui home.
